Captain’s Report
Port Phillip Bay Comp
Friday 8th to Sunday 10th December
Friday night saw a few people head out on to Port Phillip Bay in search of a fish or two. Steve D and Wayne B fished off Frankston in 19meters of water and did very well. Steve out fished Wayne 6 – 0 (at least Steve is starting to lift his game), well done Steve, better lick next time Wayne. Jan W fished Friday night but with no luck. Also John C went out and no fish came back (I’m slipping).
Saturday came and the bay had calmed down from Friday night’s rough weather, which also saw some good fishing to be had. Rod and Gabrielle W caught a good bag of Snapper up to 2kg, well done. Michael R also caught some nice Snapper up to 3 kg, well done. Steve and Matthew K weighed in some nice Snapper up to 2.5kg, great work guys. Kevin and Michael L went out and caught Snapper up to 3kg, well done. Another person to hit the bay was Gavin B landing 6 x nice Snapper up to 1.5kg. Brendon J also went out for a fish but lucked out, better luck next time. Gavin H and Heather W tried their luck but unfortunately missed out on catching a fish. Ray C did well catching Snapper up to 2.9kg, well done Ray.
NOTE: Once again thanks to Steve and Wayne for catering and running the BBQ, well done. Thanks to Kevin for supplying the raffles. A special thank you to Graham and Marie for organising the show bags for the kids Christmas party.
